The human digestive tract is home to a vast array of microorganisms – up to 1,500 species of bacteria can live in the intestines. They form a true ecosystem, which changes depending on various factors, such as age and, of course, diet. Proper nutrition is crucial for maintaining a balanced bacterial flora. However, this harmony can be disrupted by factors such as poor diet or antibiotic use. Bacteria present in the human digestive system can be divided into three groups: beneficial (Bifidobacterium, Lactobacillus), opportunistic (Bacteroides, Eubacterium), and pathogenic (Clostridium, Staphylococcus).

30 BILLION BACTERIAL CULTURES IN 1 CAPSULE

Each capsule of N°1 ProBiotic provides you with 30 billion bacterial cultures from 10 bacterial strains. Individual strains are numbered (found in the ingredients, after the strain's Latin name), signifying that the strain has been precisely identified. Our dietary supplement includes the following bacteria:

  • Bacteria of the genus Bifidobacterium, e.g. Bifidobacterium lactis.

Gram-positive bacteria that live in the large intestine. They are present in the human gastrointestinal tract practically from the very beginning of life, as newborns receive them as they pass through the birth canal.

  • Bacteria of the genus Lactobacillus, e.g. Lactobacillus paracasei.

Lactobacillus are gram-positive bacteria classified as lactic acid bacteria. Some of them participate in lactic acid fermentation. Lactobacillus plantarum has one of the largest genomes among lactic acid bacteria, and Lactobacillus rhamnosus is used as an ingredient in yogurts and dairy products.

  • Streptococcus thermophilus bacterium

Used in milk processing

  • Acacia fiber

In addition to the strains, N°1 ProBiotic contains acacia fiber. While it's indigestible by the human body, it can be used by bacteria to grow.

PATENTED MICROENCAPSULATION TECHNOLOGY

We've ensured precise protection of the bacterial cells. Each is coated with a thin lipid layer, providing protection not only during storage but also as it passes through the digestive system. Microencapsulation also protects against moisture, acidity, light, and oxygen. This excellent protection ensures that the bacterial cultures will reach the rest of the digestive tract. Up to five times fewer microencapsulated bacteria allow them to colonize the intestines just as effectively as larger numbers of unprotected bacteria.

Comparison of product storage stability at room temperature:

Lyobac – bacteria without microencapsulation protection

Microbac – bacteria protected by microencapsulation

Greater stability at 25 degrees C allows for an economical, lower dose to be used to achieve the same effects.
